From 2011 to 2013, Ray SMITH was the Chief Financial Officer of Recon Instruments. He was responsible for the company’s finance, legal, HR, and supply chain functions. Recon is based in Vancouver, Canada and is a leader in wearable Heads-up Displays for sports and active lifestyle. From 2000 to 2011, Ray was based in the US and was the Vice President of Finance for NASDAQ-listed Eurand (which subsequently merged with Axcan Pharmaceuticals to form Aptalis Pharma). From 1992 to 2000, he worked in Europe and the US in the advisory and assurance practice of Ernst & Young.
Mr. Brandon Villery is Vice President and General Counsel of NantHealth, Inc. and leads the company’s legal department. He is responsible for a broad range of legal areas for the company, including general corporate matters, licensing and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and litigation. Prior to joining NantHealth in 2017, Brandon served as Associate General Counsel of its parent company, NantWorks, LLC, beginning in 2014.
Mr. Frank Christiaens is the Chairman of ELIX. He is also a Managing Partner at CrossPacific Capital Partners, Director and Chairman of the Compensation Committee at China Digital Video in Beijing (China), as well as Chairman and CEO at CLEARink Displays in Santa Clara (USA). Before moving to Canada in 2010, Mr. Christiaens had spent 15 years in Asia. He cofounded companies in telecommunications, advertising, and clean-tech in Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. He served as the President for Greater China for Barco of Belgium from 2001 to 2009.

Dr. Lorne Whitehead is the initial inventor of the ELIX wireless power transfer technology, a co-founder of the company and serves on its Board of Directors.
Dr. Whitehead’s career has involved sustained innovation in technology, business, and administration. From 1983-1993, he served as CEO of TIR Systems Ltd., a University of British Columbia (UBC) spin-off company that he founded and grew to 200 employees prior to being purchased by Philips in 2007.
Ms. Yan Fang Qiong has more than 20 years of experience in consulting and management of listed companies in Canada. She has played an important role in mergers and acquisitions for several companies in North America and China, as well as financing and business development strategies. Ms. Yan is the president of Joyco Consulting Services and serves as a director of a number of listed companies, including Hanwei Energy Services Corp., listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and Sunshine Oilsands Ltd, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
